Catching the NYE fireworks in Singapore has just been made easier for you!
Do you like spectacular fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve but hate the hassle that comes along with it? We’re talking about the pet peeves of squeezing with the crowd, having handphones thrusted in your face, getting your toes stomped on and bottlenecks everywhere while you’re trying to make your way home — just to name a few. We feel you.
Here’s the good news – the fireworks will be brought closer to you this year! There will be no fireworks display at Marina Bay this year due to the Covid-19 situation but instead, you can catch them at different heartlands across Singapore. Head to any one of these 11 spots to watch the gorgeous fireworks:
- Boon Lay
- Tiong Bahru
- Yew Tee
The fireworks can also be enjoyed from the comforts of your own home by tuning in to the live streaming of the fireworks at respective virtual community programmes organised by the People’s Association.
If you happen to be in the Marina Bay area on NYE, then do check out their Shine a Light light show featuring 60 lights illuminating the Marina Bay skyline. The light show will be on from 8 p.m. – 11:45 p.m. on NYE.
While you are at it, enjoy the Share the Moment light display as well! The display highlights Singapore’s vision to be a “City of Good” and celebrate the outstanding givers that have contributed selflessly to our community this past year. Watch as the facades of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the Merlion and ArtScience Museum light up and share the nation’s stories.
