It’s as if kids have an innate distaste for all things healthy. Case in point: water, topping the list with veggies.
Here’s how to get your little one to stay hydrated in Singapore’s hot weather.
Turn flavoured water into popsicles to make drinking water more fun and enjoyable for your little ones. Add plenty of fruits and a little honey so there’s some sweetness.
NEXT: Get them to eat hydrating fruits →
Fruits like watermelon, cantaloupes and peaches contain plenty of water that can help your kids stay hydrated. The best part? They’ve also got plenty of vitamins and minerals, making it a healthy, nutritious snack.
NEXT: Or infuse water with fruity goodness →
Infuse some sparkling or still water with delicious fruits like strawberries, pineapples and lemon for a refreshing drink your little ones can surely get behind.
NEXT: Set up a reward system and make it realistic →
Invent a fun game that you and your kids can play to get them to drink more water. Divide the water into small sippy cups; the more bottles they drink, the closer they are to getting a reward.
NEXT: Lead by example →
If you’re trying to get your kids to drink more water, be sure to lead by example. Make sure your kids know that you love drinking water too and make it a point to drink with them by way of encouragement.
NEXT: Make it fun! →
