EtonHouse International Education Group has been at the forefront of education among international schools in Singapore and in the region since opening in 1995.
And, its founder, Mrs. Ng Gim Choo, even won the recent 2019 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award of the Year in the Education category for her contribution to Singapore’s economy and society. The honour comes at a great time, too – EtonHouse will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2020!
While that’s surely exciting for existing EtonHouse families, what about prospective students and parents? Hint: You can save $1,000 if you RSVP early for one of its open houses. Read more in the gallery below!
EtonHouse has a through-train pathway. Meaning? You can send your child to an EtonHouse preschool near your home, then transition him or her to a primary or K-12 school at other campuses with ease.
Check out EtonHouse’s international schools at these four locations: Thomson, Sentosa, Broadrick and Orchard. With the exception of Orchard campus, which offers a through-train programme from Y1 to Y13, Thomson, Sentosa and Broadrick offers pre-school and primary year offerings.
Looking for a curriculum with a robust language programme? EtonHouse was the first international school in Singapore to offer a primary dual-language programme in English and Mandarin. For two years in a row, students at EtonHouse Broadrick have managed to clinch the top prize at the Crestar Singapore Chinese Competition, too!
Besides the Mandarin language, EtonHouse’s curriculum includes second language programmes in Hindi, Japanese and Spanish as well. Plus, its English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme has been trusted and valued by families for years.
EtonHouse’s inquiry-based curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which empowers students to take control of their learning by focusing on their ideas, concepts and creations. This also motivates students to develop critical thinking and creative skills, and fosters teamwork and individuality with other students.
In addition, EtonHouse teaches the IGSCEs (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) over a period of three years instead of the usual two, tailored specifically to provide students a deeper understanding of the subject matter and prepare them for the challenges of high school. They have the option of learning integrated subjects like robotics, coding, programming during the programme, too!
The school’s IB (International Baccalaureate) Primary Years and IB Diploma programmes are not only comprehensive, but engaging in different areas. Students are exposed to non-academic subjects like sports, visual and performing arts, as well as a diverse range of community projects.
