Established in 1925, Tanglin Trust School is the longest-running British international school in Southeast Asia.
Catering to children aged 3 to 18 years old, international school Tanglin ensures the children can learn in an environment where they feel safe, valued, confident and happy. At Tanglin, classrooms and outdoor areas as well as its inspiring curriculum are designed to capture the children’s imagination, nurture inquisitive minds and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. This is underpinned by a commitment to support every child’s social, emotional, spiritual and cultural awareness.
Over the past three years, Tanglin’s Infant, Junior and Senior Schools have been repeatedly judged Outstanding – the highest possible grade – by the British Schools Overseas (BSO) framework. Tanglin’s Nursery is also the first school in Asia to achieve The Curiosity Approach Accredited Status, while its Infant School is the first in Asia to be awarded the Quality Mark for both Basic Skills (Maths and English) and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Tanglin’s Infant School has been awarded the Primary Science Gold Quality Mark, too.
With every child being unique, it is important for your own child to be guided by teachers who are patient and encouraging. The staff members at Tanglin are committed to delivering a personalised curriculum for every child, making learning relevant and memorable. This ensures
that every child progresses in line with his or her individual learning journey.
Tanglin caters for individual learning needs that can be largely met within the mainstream classroom. However, some children may need curriculum modification or specific intervention during their development. Tanglin’s experienced Learning Support Team works closely with
classroom teachers and, if needed, the school’s Education Psychologist or external practitioners to ensure a collaborative approach in providing the right level and nature of support for each individual child. The Learning Support teacher can also provide targeted and engaging interventions, for in-class, small group or individual support. Enrichment activities are also part of this extra support.
Tanglin continues to ensure that its students get to experience a wide variety of activities through their many amenities and resources. A new school building is also currently under construction at Gate C, which will provide a wide range of new facilities, including a 50-metre swimming pool, enhanced infant facilities and a gymnastics centre.
