Just when you get your kids settled in school, it seems like another school holiday rolls around, and you’re, like, “What am I going to do with these little buggers for a week?”
Or, maybe you have a budding Picasso living under your roof, or simply like exposing your child to cool and different activities? No matter your reasons, Inspired Arts has you covered – with some of the most exciting, dynamic art instruction in Singapore.

Every month, Inspired Arts holds various visual arts holiday camps for kids aged 4 to 13. “The camp themes change each week, from Steampunk to animation to wizarding – where kids make their own robes, wands and slime potions!” shares Managing Director Hamish Betts.
Located in a light-filled Joo Chiat Road studio, these camps run four days per week, three hours a day, with the Juniors camp (for kids 9 years and below) held from 9 a.m. to noon, and the Seniors camp (for those 9 and up) from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. So, no matter whether your children follow the Singaporean school schedule or that of an international school (or both), you’ll find something fun and fresh for them to explore each week.
Providing a full range of art media – including sculpture, collage, drawing, painting, weaving and more – Inspired Arts’ teachers have strong educational and artistic backgrounds. “Our passion is to take kids on an experiential and expressive journey where their own personality and ideas are celebrated,” says Hamish, who was previously an art teacher and administrator in Singapore international schools for nine years.
Inspired Arts offers weekly classes at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. and at noon on Saturdays. They also have sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. During these sessions, children can explore a wide variety of age-appropriate art experiences. “We do not encourage copying, and focus on developing a good base in skills, techniques and strategies, allowing students to enjoy experimenting and exploring,” he says, noting that Inspired Arts has developed its own curriculum.
