Arts Kidz has been established for 10 years in Singapore with a student population of more than 200 children aged 18 months to 6 years.
With an open-plan concept, the school environment includes dedicated learning spaces for nature, science, technology and tinkering. Students get to enjoy outdoor play spaces and have plenty of opportunities to connect with nature.
Arts Kidz Pre-School provides a holistic approach to learning. Academic progress sits alongside with children’s social, emotional and physical development, and includes a mindfulness and yoga programme. In addition, Arts Kidz received recognition as a successful recipient of the ECDA Innovation Guidance Project chosen to mentor teachers on learning through tinkering and maker spaces.
As an international preschool fostering social skills and improving welfare, Arts Kidz aims to serve the community by engaging in collaborations with The Singapore Food Bank, supporting children with disabilities, and as members of the World Wildlife Fund Eco-Schools Program; active citizenship is embedded in the school’s programmes.
Arts Kidz incorporates multiple languages into its curriculum, including Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. Its Arts Kidz’ S.M.A.R.T Learning Bright Thinkers approach includes science, technology, engineering, art and math subjects.
Arts Kidz believes in developing thinking skills and literacy through art. Through exposure in arts and crafts, young children are better able to express themselves.
“We’ve been sending our three children to Arts Kidz since 2013. As it’s a family-oriented school, there is a very pleasant atmosphere. Our children have always felt welcomed, and they were able to be themselves and express their vivacity through the art. As parents, we’re grateful for the positive learning experience that Arts Kidz has provided for our children. The school’s educational approach has helped our kids to grow their creativity and make them confident in their capability.” – Akira and Massimo Pasquarelli, parents to Ector, 11; Artur, 8; and Ayura, 5
