Back in 2006, Caroline Teo and her husband, Daryl, wanted to make fitness more convenient for people in Singapore.
So they kicked off Physique 360, which provides highly personalised services so clients lead a life of quality and age gracefully. “Our clients are walking testimonials,” boasts Caroline, who is herself a mother to two adult sons, Keith and Kyle, and grandma to three little ones. “We have many referrals, including from politicians!”
Caroline is a huge advocate for local entrepreneurs and prefers to buy homegrown brands. She contends, “They might not be as popular as international brands, but this does not mean the quality is any less inferior.” In particular, she’s quite pleased with two of her recent shopping hauls, from swimwear from luxury swimwear brand, K.BLU, and customised skincare products from Skin Inc. “I love SG because it is a place where efforts are recognised and everyone has equal opportunities to excel and succeed.”
When Covid struck, it was a reminder not to take wellness for granted. “People recognised the importance of physical and mental health,” says Caroline, who notes that many of Physique 360’s clients suffer from body aches due to prolonged hours working from home. As a result, the team now provides online Zoom training in addition to in-person activities and classes. Her parting words? “Fitness is not a phase in our life. It is a lifestyle.”
