“To be a household name is Asia.” With a vision like that for her baby essentials brand RAPH&REMY, it’s perhaps not surprising that Australian expat Tiffany was deemed our Expatpreneur of the Year.
Also impressive: She’s built the company – which prizes both sustainability and beautiful presentation – in just over one year’s time, registering it in Singapore in July 2019.
Tiffany named the brand after her two sons: 3-year-old Raphael and 10-month-old Remy, whom she calls her “rainbow baby”, as it was a difficult and emotional road to finally giving birth to the healthy little boy. Mind you, she packaged and delivered a customer’s order on the way to the hospital – even after her water broke! “I hope one day, my boys will look up to me and just say, you know, we are so proud of you mum,” muses Tiffany, who credits her own husband, Eric, as a staunch supporter.
As the company’s one-and-only full-time staffer, Tiffany does it all, from overseeing the website and social media pages to fulfilling orders, designing the products and packaging and more. And she hopes her example is an inspiration to other mums thinking of starting their own business. Her advice to them? “You would never give up or stop fighting for your child… make sure you feel the same about your business!”

About The Finder Expatpreneur Awards
In 2017, The Finder debuted its first-ever Expatpreneur Awards to honour foreign-born entrepreneurs running successful expat-owned businesses in or from Singapore. In 2019, 22 expats were awarded for their tremendous dedication. This 2020, a new batch of 19 winners has been unveiled! All of them have one thing in common: Their brands help people “live well in Singapore” – The Finder’s core mission.
