New Zealander Leah’s stones not only rock, they tell a story: one of friendship and dedication. Having identified a demand for stylish, affordable jewellery in Singapore, she and her friend Anne-Lize Tsinonis started Stones That Rock seven years ago. Their goal? To offer unique-yet-classic collections using freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones and crystals.
When Annie suffered a personal setback and decided to leave SG, Leah dug in her heels and continued the business by herself. “The biggest challenge in running Stones That Rock is trusting myself to make the right decisions,” shares Leah, who along with her husband, Nick, is parent to three youngsters, aged 16 to 24. “Hard work, commitment and focus are essential.”
Her efforts have paid off.
“Today, Stones That Rock is the jewellery accessory of choice for local fashion shows, and we have a presence in some of Singapore’s best-known department stores,” says Leah. “We are also very proud to be the organisers of Glamorous Giving, the bi-annual clearance sale in support of the Singapore Committee for UN Women.”
