cMohamed Yazid Bin Abdul Halim is the Manager, Food & Beverage for One Faber Group, including al fresco lounge Dusk and Arbora bistro – both atop Faber Peak.
Runner-up for Food & Beverage Manager of the Year at World Gourmet Summit 2019, Mohamed’s a master mixologist and procurer of fine wines and craft beers. He also loves his “beautiful dearest wifey” Roihanah and their three children.
Mohamed has lived in South Africa, Thailand and Spain. But, he notes, “I am a patriotic Singaporean.”
When he’s craving a nice piece of meat, he heads over to The Ranch Steakhouse by Astons at Clarke Quay, which he describes as a “steak house that serves premium-quality, aged beef at a very reasonable price”. To impress a client, he suggests ordering the Flambé Prime Rib and pairings from its “great wine list”.

“I am in love with motorsports, and just bought a continental motorbike – an Austrian-made machine brand from KTM,” shares Mohamed. When he’s not on his new machine, he likes bicycling on the Park Connectors across Singapore.
Naturally, Mohamed is partial to his own drink menus, including Dusk’s unique “multisensory molecular nitrogen cocktail” (from $16). But, he’s willing to reveal his other go-to watering holes: Smoke & Mirrors, a “chillax rooftop bar” at the National Gallery Singapore, and Marina Bay Sands’ CE LA VIE Singapore for its epic views and cocktails using “premium base ingredients”.
