Growing up, Victoria Martin-Tay was very inactive, she confides. Meanwhile, Bryan Tay competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics – the only male swimmer from SG to qualify that year.

That’s why, when the married couple decided to open boOm Singapore in 2017, they wanted the space and workouts offered to be accessible to anyone, of all fitness levels. Before that, the then-part-time fitness instructors and Ivy League grads were holding down day jobs. “We found that teaching and being a part of someone else’s development was more rewarding than anything we had experienced in our corporate careers,” they share.
