Chew on this!

These popular and yummy Japanese snacks made from glutinous rice are perfect afternoon treats and they make great for gifts too!

Nippon-ya

This well-loved Japanese food boutique carries the Harajuku Mochi in various flavours, from chocolate to banana and even melon. They are all pretty delicious so you might be spoilt for choice! (I wish they would sell a box that has a mixture of the different flavours available.)

Find it at: ION Orchard (2 Orchard Turn)

Dezato Dezato

Besides traditional mochi in four flavours, you can also find them in delicious cream filling. My personal favourite from the store is their Sakura Daifuku which contains cherry blossom flavoured skin and white bean paste filling.

Find it at: JCube (2 Jurong East Central 1)

Kane Mochi Singapore

What’s better than ice cream and mochi? Mochi ice cream! Made with no preservatives, Kane Mochi offers 17 flavours of mochi ice cream and their premium range comes in interesting flavours such as Mocha Chip, Milo Vanilla, and Thai Iced Tea.

Find it at: Bugis+ (201 Victoria Street)
