Traditional flavours are milk- and nut-based, and the sweets come in varieties such as burfi (milk-based sweets), ladoo (flour- and ghee based balls) and jalebi (deep-fried flour batter drenched in syrup). But think mithai with a twist, with creative, modern flavours and ornate packaging.
Here are some places in Singapore to try out some fancy Deepavali mithai – all from the comfort and safety of your own home.
Kicking off the grand lineup of Diwali treats this festive season is Rang Mahal‘s – Singapore’s leading Indian fine-dining restaurants – collection of mithai (sweet confections). This year’s Diwali mithai collection comprises a range of healthy ingredients and wholesome flavours!
